hmmm... I have problem.

You have two group of vowel. I can not translate name of this group into english.

First group (1): a o u á ó ú
Second group (2): e i é í ö ő ü ű

(1)
tanár
autóbusz

(2)
rendőrség
ember

Simple, but:

:arrow: mosógép, gáztűzhely. In book I read it is group (2), but I see in this word: o, ó, á.

:arrow: fiatalember, finom. In book I read it is group (1), but I see in this word: e, i.

:?: :?: :?:

First group (1): a o u á ó ú -> Deep vowels
Second group (2): e i é í ö ő ü ű -> High vowels
Wikipedia

If a word have vowels from this two group, this word group is:
Mixed vowels

If the word is high vowel -> This word get High voice class affix.
If the word is low or mixed vowel -> This word get Low voice class affix (except the composite words /two and more words writing in one word/, in this case, the dominant is the LAST word in the composite word.

Example for the composite word:
Játéktér = Játék + tér
Playground = Play + ground

This word meaning the same on English and Hungarian. :) In this case, the "tér" word's voice class is the dominant!

Hooppps. This is a wrong example, becouse every vowel are High vowels in this word. But I think the example is good. :)

Yes. Becouse:
Fiatal + ember = Young + Men
And yes, this is a High word, becouse the "ember" ending word.

No. The "finom" is a mixed word. That's why this word get low after affix. For example:
- Hogyan ?(How?)
- Finoman. (Gently.)

This word get low affix, becouse the word is a low or mixed word.

Just the first half correct:
Mi tanárok vagyunk.
Ti tanárok vagytok.
Ők tanárok. -> In this case, the "vannak" word is not used.
